So This Happened of the Day: Singer-songwriter Martin Rivas pleasantly surprises his fans by busting out an adult-contemporary rendition of Rebecca Black’s “Friday” during his Japanese earthquake relief fundraising show at Rockwood Music Hall.

That’s right: “Friday” has officially been used to help raise money to aid earthquake victims in Japan. Cue cosmic implosion.
